The City Manager is pleased to present the FY2011 Proposed Budget, filed with the City Secretary on August 13, 2010. Copies are available for review online, at City Hall or at the Bastrop Public Library.

Budget hearings will be held on August 31, 2010 and September 14, 2010. The tax rate public hearings are scheduled for August 24, 2010 and August 31, 2010. The proposed tax rate (0.554 / $100) is less than the rollback rate and the effective rate.

All hearings will be held at City Hall at 904 Main Street, Bastrop, Texas 78602. All residents are encouraged to attend and express their views.

The Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program has total appropriable funds of $35,124,563. The city's current tax rate of $0.5540 per $100 and is no increase of over the previous year.
