THURSDAY, June 26, 2008

The City of Bastrop Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the Bastrop City Council Chambers, 904 Main Street, Bastrop, Texas.

(The Commission may, at any time, recess the Regular Session to convene in Executive Session at the request of the Chair, a Commissioner, the Planning Director, or legal counsel concerning any item identified on this agenda for any purpose authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.)

4. Approval of the May 29, 2008 meeting minutes.

5. Executive Session: The Bastrop Planning and Zoning Commission will meet in closed/executive session pursuant to the Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.71 (Consultation with Attorney) to discuss the following:

    a. Pending and/or contemplated litigation related to subdivision plats.

    b. Matters upon which the attorney has a duty and/or responsibility to report to the governmental body.

RP08-01: Public Hearing: Discussion and possible action on a request to replat Lot 2 Farm Lot 18, east of Main Street approximately 0.952 of an acre out of Lot 2, Farm Lot18, into two single family residential lots, located on the east side of Pecan Street, the south side of Beech Street, and the north side of Farm Street in the city limits of Bastrop, Texas.

    c. Commission deliberation and possible action on request for replat of Lot 2 Farm Lot 18, east of Main Street an area zoned SF-7 in the city limits of Bastrop, Texas.

7. CUP08-04: Public Hearing: Discussion and possible action on a request for a Conditional Use Permit to allow for the construction of a public school facility (Performing Arts Center) at 1401 Cedar Street, an area zoned SF-7; Single Family Residential and to construct said facility at a height of 63.5 feet, where the maximum is 35 feet. The subject property is 10.575 acres out of Farm Lot 35 E M, located at the southwest corner of Cedar and Chambers Streets  and on the east side of Fayette Street in the city limits of Bastrop, Texas. The item was tabled at the Commission’s May 29 meeting.

Commission deliberation and possible action on the request for a Conditional Use Permit to construct public school facility in an area zoned SF-7 and at a height of 63.5 feet, where maximum is 35 feet, 10.575 acres out of Farm Lot 35 EM in an area zoned SF-7 in the City limits of Bastrop, Texas.

8. Z08-08: Public Hearing: Discussion and possible action on a request to rezone approximately 242 acres out of Mozea Rouseau Survey, commonly known as Pecan Park, from AOS, Agricultural/Open Space District to approximately 204.57 acres of SF-7, Single Family Residential and approximately 37.43 acres of MF-2, Multi-Family Dwelling. The property is located between the north side of the Colorado River, the southern terminus of Childers and the west side of Perkins Street in the city limits of Bastrop, Texas.

    c. Commission deliberation and possible action on the request for rezoning of 242 acres out of Mozea Rouseau Survey, commonly known as Pecan Park, from AOS, Agricultural/Open Space District to 204.57 acres of SF-7, Single Family Residential and 37.43 acres of MF-2, Multi-Family Dwelling in the City limits of Bastrop, Texas.

9. Discussion and possible action regarding a recommendation for the Commission’s representative to the Main Street Board.

10. Discussion and possible action to have a joint workshop meeting with the Historic Landmark Commission regarding the ordinance for Bed and Breakfast and vacation rental establishments.

11. Discussion regarding the Monthly Report prepared by the Planning and Development Department.

12. Planning Director’s Report:

    a. Upcoming Special workshop with Parks Board
